Technical requirements for shrapnel

1. The radius of the curved part. When forming spring sheets, most of them need to be bent. If the radius of curvature of curved parts is relatively small, these parts will generate significant stress. Therefore, in order to avoid large stresses in the curved part, the bending radius should be designed to be at least five times the thickness of the plate.

2. Stress concentration at the notch or hole. Spring sheets often have stepped portions and openings, and stress concentrations will occur at stepped locations where the size changes sharply. The smaller the diameter of the hole, the larger the plate width, and the greater the stress concentration coefficient.

3. Shape and dimensional tolerance of spring plate. Sheet springs are commonly used for stamping processing. When designing, it is necessary to consider selecting the appropriate shape and size for stamping processing, and at the same time, it is also necessary to fully consider dimensional tolerances such as springback during bending processing and deformation generated during heat treatment.

The requirements for heat treatment of spring sheets should be based on the performance requirements. The hardness after heat treatment can generally be determined between 36 and 52 HRC.
